Eyes Without Tears

by LadyPearl   Sep 9, 2006

Years have dried up tears
Draining an abandoned lake
Captured as it appears
A hollow aging ache

It's taste, like the ocean seas
Tainted in solemn paint
Suppressing lurking pleas
Forcing a restraint

Those almonds cold and numb
Darkness deeper than hell
Pupils thick in black succomb
Lifeless within it's cell

Like the way blood bleeds dry
Never closing, never healing
My sad eyes no longer cry
Trapped inside unfeeling

These eyes without tears
Graze the world utterly
Watching the falling sphere
Destroy it's own glee
