Darkness

*this was for a contest*

Darkness

He stalks the forest clothed in black
With eyes of undetermined hue
Creeping through alders and trembling leaves
Bidding the day adieu

Spider veils hide his hands
As shadows from his crown
Whispers stalk his every path
His tears in darkness drown

Dancing underneath the clouds
In circles deep and tight
Ensnaring the lurking souls
He is the Lord of Night

I like this one... Dark and mysterious. A pleasurable read. The rhymes made the poem so much stronger and impressive.

    Th imagery created was spectacular!
The flow was undisturbed and I loved your choice and use of words.
