Living as the rose

by Midnight Sun   Sep 16, 2006

The crimson petal
Lingering there
So pretty so delicate
It's presence so fare.

There are tough times ahead
With winter's cold
But it holds on
Fragile, yet bold

It's color is fading
Yet life remains
It's veins fighting
Through all the pain

It's leaves dried away
Taken by wind
Yet it remains steadfast
Despite the outlook so grim

I liked this, i could have raised so many interpretation from within the words..
You should be proud of yourself with this one, the language you use is as fragile and as delicate as the very flower you're writing about..
    Wonderful piece

Deep poem, with great word choice. And, also I like it. 5/5.

Gave it a five because it had some really great thoughts and word use. but i must admit, i think the ending isn't as conclusive as I'd like. I wish there's was one more stanza to end it. Jpoet*
