Cold Under The Pile Of Tears

by aDORKable x3   Sep 16, 2006

Cold under the pile of tears
Thinking about these past years

Feeling the pain you inflicted on me
Hoping that one day you can finally see

I'm falling down with no direction or plan
Reaching up for someone's hand

But no one's there, they never were
I try to scream, but it comes out slurred

I try to clear my vision, but I find I'm blind
I try to clear the memories laden in my mind

But now I know that I'm somewhere cold
Under the ground that is 6 years old

Now I can see clearly, but my perspective has changed
I'm looking down from up above, my funeral arranged

I see you standing there, trying to conceal your sorrow
For you know that for me, there is no tomorrow

All the pain I held for you, All the tears I cried
Will lay with you, in your heart, when you finally die

I hope you know I suffered, through all those years
And now I'm laying Cold Under The Pile Of Tears

Ohhh this was so heartbreaking and yet written so beautifully and elegantly.
I loved the imagery used in this, it created vivid pictures and the ending was perfect, it was so intense and hardhitting.

I'm not sure I understand this poem. I do like the word choice and rhythm, though. Capitalizing the title in the last line kind of distracted me from the meaning in those lines. It reads quite well, though... 5/5
