Through the Window

by Vic   Sep 17, 2006

I see her through a window
Every inch the same fragile girl.
Unmoving, unswaying, strong,
This fragile, confident girl.

I close my eyes and breathe in deep
Reminisce the days when we were close.
Laughing, smiling, loving,
No one else came close.

I smile, remembering our quarrels
When we had misunderstandings.
Crying, breaking, saddening,
You were always understanding.

I hear your words so crystal clear
The sweet promises we created.
Life-long, unbreakable, hopeful,
The best thing we created.

I open my eyes and look again
Still unmoving in that window.
Silent, strong, fragile,
How delicate behind that window.

I touch the window softly
And tears begin to swell.
Memories, emotions, love,
Our love life was so swell.

I trace those lips of yours
No longer able to utter I love you.
Soft, tender, influential,
If you only knew how much I loved you.

I look away from the window
And i begin to walk away.
Heavy, reluctant, unwanting,
Our love has gone away.

I look to the sun, shining high.
The world is still together.
Wishing, waiting, sorrowful,
Till the day death brings us together..

I Liked this poem very much. I think it could have been better if you used fdifferent words to ryme instead of the same ones, but that's just my opinion. Overall though, still a very good poem.
