My Reality

by Bobby Brownlie   Mar 11, 2004

I am so confused and I am losing my mind,
I feel so trapped in my life,
I just want to break free and go back in time.

I want to go back to the place,
The place where I had no worry and had no fear,
Where I had no emptiness
and when I never had to shed a tear.

I loved the way it was,
And did not want it all to leave,
But this is my reality something that I conceived.

The place I loved where everyone got alone,
And no one had to cry,
That place is gone; I had to kiss it all goodbye.

I only go back to the place, when I am asleep,
Asleep in my bed,
My reality turns dull,
As the pain and emptiness leave,
As happiness comes into my head.

But as my life becomes more complex,
The place becomes more and more vague,
I loved the way it was,
And I did not want it to leave,
But this is my reality,
Something that I conceived.
