Waste Of Time

This is about my boyfriend, he tries so hard to make me feel better, feel less depressed, and he doesn't understand that I'm beyond help. He simply can't help. I love him so much but h shouldn't love me.....he could be with someone that could make him so much happier than I am. Than he is wen hes with me, bc hes always reminded of how depressed I am and is having to deal with it and deal with not being able to help.

Why do you stand by me?
Why try to understand?
Don't you know that you can't save me?
You can't always hold my hand...
Despite how much your trying,
Despite how much you care,
I'm still walking down this lonely road,
Your absence not that rare,

And I'm lost and all alone,
Don't try to help, don't try to phone,
Don't go looking, don't waste your time,
And don't bother reading this pathetic rhyme,

No love of yours can save me,
No love can set me free,
And you need to learn to face it,
Yet you just can't let it be,
I'm so sorry if it hurts you,
But there's some things you'll never know,
Somethings are simply irreparable,
and it's best to just let go,

With each step I take, with each move I make,
With each breath I breath, with each home I leave,
Our hands keep slipping, it's you I'm missing,
Ignore my plea, walk away from me,

You see, I don't deserve you,
I'm not worthy of a heart,
I'm not worthy of god or heavens Saviour,
I just can't change, don't make me start,
I don't need anymore protection,
My soul's already shattered,
And besides, you should know by now,
Don't love what doesn't matter.

    Aw this is such a sad write. Remember though its not up to you or him who you fall in love with. You cant pick and choose and if you matter to him then that is the choice. You more than deserve love, everyone does. Sounds like he is one to hold onto, let him try. Excellent write. Take care.

    To him you matter, and if he trully loves you then he'll try no matter what :)) this is a great poem tho sad, you have an amazing guy there im happy for you :)) keep writing thease are really good:))

    Wow that was so deep i loved it, maybe cuz i feel like that but u shouldnt try to push him away he loves you and u should be happy for that cuz i know all i want is to be loved... but that never happen. u know u are a at least a bit happier with him. loved this poem so much 5/5 for sure

    Omg hun. I read your comment on my poem and came to check out yours. I am crying reading the meaning behind it and the poem. It's so sad. Don't think that you aren't worth it, you may be depressed but that is no reason for him not to love you! If you need to talk, i am always here, just PM me! I would love to talk to you, i know it can be easier to talk to someone that you don't see all the time, and i am here to listen and help if i can. I would love to. If not, thats fine.
