You're Not To Blame

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Sep 20, 2006

I'm sorry if I hurt you.
I promise it wasn't my intention.
Confusion rumbles in my mind,
I promise you're not to blame.

Thinking I was able to love again,
I kept silencing the voice
Telling me it was all a lie.
Your voice still lingers at my ear,
Questioning my decision.

Fading into the distance.

Sadness streams its rivers,
Staining my lies,
Drowning my feeble attempt to love again,
Pounding the silence now echoing in my mind.

I'm sorry if I hurt you.
I promise it wasn't my intention.
Confusion rumbles in my mind,
But I promise you're not to blame.

I'm sorry, but I had to do this.
For myself.
I'm sorry, but this is my painful goodbye.
