Darryl (part two)

by Miss Pipp   Sep 21, 2006

Lying in hospital
wired tap so many machines
your talking's only lucid
we know it's not long now

waiting for the call
jumping every time the phone rings
we're all scared of what's going to happen
going to school and everything else gets harder every time

just waiting, anticipating, worried.
staying around the phone
wishing we knew when you next text will come
waiting for the phone call, to tell us you're gone

we know what's going to happen
all we can do is hope you're not in pain, not alone and didn't live in vain
not letting any one forget you
never forget your name

when the call comes
we will grieve
Darryl we will miss you
you're in our hearts forever

~this is the second part of the poem Darryl. this is about my uncle dying from smoking. He died about 2 months ago but i just hadn't got around to posting this yet~
