Can She Overcome This?

by Jenni Marie   Sep 22, 2006

Can She Overcome This?
She feels like so much of her life has been missed
Filled with horrors and nightmares
Filled with people who only acted like they cared.

Can She Overcome This?
She doesn't know what to do
Her world is out of control
Full of things she only thought she knew.

Her world exploded into tiny pieces
the world she once knew is gone
The things and people she cared about?
She feels like she now has none.

Can she overcome this?
This thing called depression
Why does she have to feel this way?
Is it supposed to be some kind of lesson?

She doesn't know all the answers
But she'll keep trying to do what's right
And hopefully one day
She'll have overcome this fight.

This is a very well expressed peice, the repetition isn't overbearing and works very well and the content is well presented. the content really reminds me of a friend of mine... I like this peice all in all

I love the overcoming factor in this poem, the optimism. Great job.
