The Fallen

by John Jenkins   Sep 25, 2006

Depression overwhelms me,
In the darkness I hide,
Looking for a light,
To be my guide.

Then I see her,
That angelic face,
Her warm body
I wish to embrace.

I try to reach out
And touch her soul,
Because I am only half,
And with her I'd be whole.

For I am the fallen,
Needing to be revived,
As I look into her loving eyes,
I realize my healing has arrived.
