Doves Die, Hope Fades

Doves Die, Hope Fades

When doves die and hope fades away
Sacrificed pride to live another day
Lost connection with your best friends
Conforming to the latest fashion trends

Shallow souls convey a weakened mind
White lies make a city's eyes go blind
Families split as bottles of liquor break
How many more lives will war take?

Pocket books of the corporate criminal
Hidden messages of greed are subliminal
Children having children, a lost generation
And everyone seeks for new medication

The world we live will soon fall into pieces
As teenage suicide look for quick releases
Empty feelings of heartbreak and lust
Corruption turns governments into dust

The third worlds suffer and look to us for aid
When women on the streets are getting paid
Criminal activity and abusive drug addiction
Many people seek help from rehabilitation

Solutions never seem to come around
Shit hits the fan then hits the ground
Problems in our world grow every day
As doves die and our hopes fade away
