Modern day drifter

by Austin   Sep 26, 2006

I can't stay put
These walls are crumbling
The Liquors fading
And my dreams are dead
I got to move on
Drifting from place to place
Living off of others love
And eating from what I'm given
Taking what I can
And stealing what they won't give
Making sure I got what I need
To live on the road
Disregarding love
And forgetting about faith
Living off of lives
And forgetting about taste
Letting the wind guide me
And having the storms cleanse me
Having the Rain wash away my dirt
And letting it clean me of my fear
Let my legs to the walking
And my scars do the talking
Not allowing people to feel pity
For my loss of talking
So I can just drift from place to place
Without emotional attachment
And die on the road
Like a modern day drifter

Dead is a really strong word to me.
I don't think I liked it when you used it.
I just wanted you to know that.
It's not going to affect my vote or anything :]
    Like I said: Raw beauty.
Your grammer is really off in this one, though
    For example:
    I [[got]] to move on
Making sure I [[got]] what I need
    You mean have, correct?
    All in all.
    It was okay.
Not one of your best, though.
    4/5?

This is an interesting one. This is a story that is true about someone out there. Nice job!
