It's summertime and Saturday's
It's river swims and pick up games
It's the life we live and the life we know
It's growing up but not getting old

It's love and lies its winter nights
It's home-cooked meals and candlelight
It's who we are and wear were from
From the dirt below to the stars above

It's southern towns and crowded streets
It's rainstorms and muddy feet

It's all we've ever known

It's every place
It's home

    I seen on your profile you are from Virginia, well I'm from Kentucky and I was sitting here thinking, 'hey, that sounds like here!' :)

    I love the mention of 'rainstorms and muddy feet' ... it's storming here right now and it just held a lot of imagery for me 'cause I felt like you was lookin' right outside my window! lol

    Lovely piece... but on this line I have a small critique

    "It's who we are and wear were from "

    - It should be "It's who we are and WHERE WE'RE from"

    other than that, perfect.

    This is like a travel for me. Where ever we be, feel home!
    And I could actually feel the things you mentioned in here.

    A suggestion:

    It's who we are and wear were from

    ^^ this line should be changed to It's who we are and wear we're from

    or

    It's who we are and wear we were from

    Else
    this is a blissful poem and last but not the least, I liked the title:)
