Already Died

by Jemma   Sep 27, 2006

I kept running and searching
Dying inside
Keeping my heart well hidden
But there's nowhere to hide

I was laughing and crying
Dying for you
Hoping and pleading that you felt that too

Kept on running and crawling down the dark alleyways
Keep me from falling behind in these shadowed days

I ignore all comment
I just laugh off their jokes
There's no fire burning
It's all a cruel hoax
Calling, calling
Keep calling my name
Knowing but hating
That it can't stay the same

I never stopped looking
I sought you everyday
Since you left me and got torn up inside
Alone without you there by my side

Keep striding, trudging down this lengthening street
Just hoping and praying that I'll find what I seek

I can't keep standing out in the rain
Hoping that youll be there to take away the pain
I can keep running, searching but it's killing me
Whether by cold or by broken heart
I'm ripped apart inside
I know there's no place to hide
When your heart has already died

Omigod. This poem really struck a cord with me. We are always 'looking' for lost ones I swear. This poem was very intriguing and kept me involved the whole time. Rad Job.

Oh my goodness i actually cried!

I knew i was going to by the end of the first stanza but by the time it got to
"Whether by cold or by broken heart
    I'm ripped apart inside
I know there's no place to hide
When your heart has already died."
I was blubbering like a baby!

youve got some serious tallent there hon!
everytime i read one of your poems it tuggs at a memory or an emotion. you give enough infomation to let the reader know what's going on, but you leave it vague enough that it captures the raw emotions of the reader so thet it pulls at there own expeareances.
Have you ever considered getting your work published?

by the way i didn't always have synithesia.
i was in an accident a few years ago and was in hospital unconcious for a few days and when i came to i found that i had it. it was dead weired and a bit dissorientateing to start with but i did get used to it.
