She asked me, "why, why don't you just stop doing these things to yourself?"
i replied, "honestly, i do try."
as i sat next to her, she comforts me the best she can
i put my head down in shame and began to cry
everything looks in shades of gray
feeling the sadness of the deepest blue inside
as i am covered with blood red on the outside
this world isn't meant for me
who's cruel joke is this anyway?
this is not for show
i contemplate if i should really go
they say it can only get better
(what do they know)
deeper and deeper i drown in my own misery
always finding deeper depths
everything looks in shades of gray
feeling the sadness of the blackest black
please leave me alone
i must be alone
nobody should see anyone like this
so please, shut the door behind you
this is not for show
how much lower can i go?
this world wasn't meant for me
please let me be
i must be alone
nobody should see anyone do this
so please shut the door behind you,
for the last time
