Smiling Sky

by Lady Nik   Oct 1, 2006

I look up to find you watching me. I'm sad you can't sit hear next to me. On the grass as we drink tea from your favorite glass. It seems time stays still. I wish it would pass so l can be with you. They say suicide isn't the way. But they don't miss you the way I do. I try to remember the good times but I can't. I keep seeing you lowered into the ground. Now a days happiness is hard to find. I can't help but look down. And I wish we were together. You were always able to make me feel better. I guess I'll be sick forever. I hope you're proud of me. Because I'm not. The true me, everyone has forgot. I'm just lost without your grace, and your wise words. I miss the sound of the birds and the smell of the flowers. Sometimes I get so mad that I cry for hours. But then I walk to my window, to see my smiling sky. After that there are no more tears in my eyes.

Wow, of all of your stuff that I've read so far, this is my favorite. It's so sad, the way a friend can have such an impact on our lives. You are a really good writer :)
