Brutal Honesty

by Fairytales   Oct 6, 2006

He turned around
and whispered, "It's over," to her ear,
he broke her heart, and
made her lose all the things that she holds dear...

He cupped his hands on her face and smiled,
"You're not that special anymore,
You see, you're just for fun,
but now there's someone I adore."

She cried and tried to hold on,
but her hands he pushed away,
She cried all the way home,
and kept going day to day.

The next day, he walked by,
not giving her another glance,
his arm on another girl,
she realized she didn't have a chance.

she's still a broken shell of a girl,
still not knowing what to do...
tell me, and be honest,
what would you do if it was you?

A very beautiful poem, short and blunt as any painful experience is. I wouldn't mind if you told me if this poem is from personal experience..I don't mean to be digging, but you're intriguing to me. That every happen to you?
