Never My Soul

There is a voice inside of me
It sings the sweetest melody
It beckons my own breathing soul,
Makes me feel complete and whole

My confidence speaks.
It lives because I'm strong
The past is gone and it was wrong

And through the whispers not the screams
I know I can re-live my dreams
I feel the song and move to dance
Thank God I lived for one more chance

It is a gentle flowing lullaby
Each night it sings
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow
And as always, I whisper...
He can have my body
But he will never have my soul

    OMG! Those last 2 stanzas, I wrote something kinda sorta like that...well I was gonna make it into a poem but I never did!! lol.
