Immortal Wishes

by MissSideways   Oct 11, 2006

Do I still wish, you ask?

Yes. I wish when I can.

But I gave up wishing on stars.
They were too busy granting everyone elses wishes.

The many blades of grass had been torn from their roots, replaced with buildings and roads.

The beach, now littered with rubbish, blanket the shells that once spotted its gorgeous, sandy stretches.

But on that rare occasion, when the stars find a break in their busy wish-granting schedule.

When I stumble across that odd patch of grass between the busy city buildings and winding roads.

When the wind blows away the wrappers to reveal a lone, beautiful shell.

yes.

I wish with all of my heart...

How about you? Do you wish?
