Starlight

by Macabre   Oct 13, 2006

Though you're far, I feel you're near,
and though you watch from up above, I know your heart is here.
Kindling my heart, the twinkle in my eye,
you're my best friend Starlight, I know you'll stay with me through the night.
I can confide in your soul, and you will always listen,
as you cry with me, your tears, they always glisten.
I love you now, as I did back then,
Cold harsh winters, I remember when,
feeling lonely,
my heart the one and only,
but you showed me we're same.

I kiss you goodnight, with my final Amen,
off in dreams I always meet you, a place like heaven.
Through the clouds, and past the moon,
singing so softly, a soft pretty tune.
I ride on your shoulders, and depend on your strength,
When I feel cut off, you extend the rope's length.
