The real me

by Skyler   Oct 18, 2006

I looked in the mirror
And what did I see?
I saw an image that wasn't me
I am not that happy, the joy it disappears.

The real me is hidden
Deep down inside the real me lives
no ones seen her
no on cares

she is dark and sad
the pain its cut so deep
the scars are clear
in her eyes is only fear

she only wishes to be set free
from her prison so deep inside me
for the pain to end,
the wounds to heal,
and the scars to fade

but she will forever be sad and hidden
the words they stung
the pain it hurt

the wounds left scars
the scars left permanent damage on her skin
she is lost and fallen

no one is there to help
she is almost gone
