Once Bound Now Free

by VioletRaven   Oct 24, 2006

Each morning I awoke,
Chained, by the shackles of your love,
Your words; the bars of my prison,
Until you chose to set me free.

Uncertain I stepped forth,
Beyond the threshold,
The world before me,
Empty and unfamiliar.

Timid and hesitant,
Afraid of my loneliness,
Craving a reunion denied,
Despairing of reclaiming myself.

A warily aching heart,
Nights without your formerly
Burning presence in the gloom,
Yet intuition did relieve desolation.

Sentiments unfathomably immoral,
Failed to settle in my heart,
In mind a longing for completion,
Unfulfilled.

No broken heart,
For it was ever incomplete,
Look back without regret.
Easy to forget, better to forgive.

Yo! It's definitely been way way WAY too long since we last talked. I hope that everything is going ok for you. As for the poem (which is the technical point of a 'review'), what can I say that I haven't already said? I greatly admire your work and the way you always seem to speak from your heart. (wow... mushy :P) Annndd... yeah. Best wishes!
