Confusion-Irony

Isn't it ironic;

You say you want to love me,
but you don't.
You say you yearn to need me,
but you won't.
You promise to always keep me,
And you can't.

-"If I could love just one person in all my life, it would only have been you."

Isn't it ironic;

I don't want to love you,
but I do.
I don't want to rely on you,
but I need to.
I promise myself to let you go,
And I can't.

-"If I could love just one person in all my life, it would never have been you.

    I really like the irony theme you have here. It's cute and sad at the same time. I think you could have used a lot more emotion and depth here- that would make the poem more worthy of the 5 I gave you.

    Keep on writing; your poems seem like a fun read. I'm gonna come back and read some more.
