Alone Without You

by Shannon   Oct 26, 2006

Being alone with my thoughts,
Slowly drives me insane.
I think only of you,
And what we could be.

Together, we are complete,
Apart we are shepherds with no sheep.
I lust for you,
And you for me.

I close my eyes and see only you,
As they open, I am reminded,
That the vision of you was only a dream.
I only see what is intended for me.

The torture of it all,
Leaves me adrift.
Drifting out into a sea of loneliness.
I want to be set free.

I want you to love me,
The way I have never been loved before.
I want to lie in your arms at night,
And hear you whisper I love you more.

I live to hear "I love you girl",
I want to wake with you to hear "Good morning",
I want to lay with you to hear "Good night",
I smile when I hear "I need you".

I hate this! I hate you! I hate me!
There is no me without you.
Just for a moment, just for a day,
I want and need you to stay.

Stay with me, lay with me.
Hold me, tell me everything is okay.
I am alone without you.
