Poor Girl (Revised, LYRICS)

by Ashley Ann   Oct 27, 2006

There is a poor girl
sitting in the street
begging for food and shelter
instead getting beat
--------------------------
(Chorus)
Dirt across her body,
Tears in her eyes
Starving for just a little taste
Long lasting sighs

Not only for a taste of food
Not only for the wealth
Not only for a taste of love
Not only for the health
---------------------------
But for a taste of a family
a relationship with The Lord
A taste of success in life
escape from a hand and sword

She is a lonely, poor girl
Whos starving to die
The wait for foods so painful
It makes her cry

No family to support her
No God in her life
No job to earn money
No man for her to be his wife

There once was a poor girl
With dreams of a better life
Dreams of a God and family
Dreams of no strife

-Chorus-

There once was a sad girl
Through streets she did roam
She asked for God in her life
And He took her home...
