Darkness' Escape

by Samantha Compton   Oct 29, 2006

Darkness is dwelling inside of my soul
Pierced by faint moonlight,
Starlight dwindling like hope
Barely in my sight.
Coldness drifts over open plains,
Freezing all despair,
Locking inside felt memories
Beneath the frigid air
Empty worries fade away
Like sunlight being drained,
Comfort envelopes my heart and mind as
Insanity turns sane.
I breath in deep
This essence of life,
Releasing my joy along
With my strife.

Beautiful job. I would say it's one of your best. The only thing I didn't like was the last, word, for some reason, most poets don't like to use that word because it sounds forced. Keep your head girl!! *he did say hi back you know*
