Running for...

by RachelAnne   Oct 29, 2006

Running in circles stopping then,
runing in speed stopping again,
catching my breath not giving in,
then starting to breathe there appears a grin

Just a little more to go,
the lap it seems to slow,
'' soon to be a pro ''
repeated over and again '' dont feel low ''

nothing in front all sight clear
the finish line is close getting near
breath in your body nothing to fear
then something happend to the side a veer

regaining composure puts on the speed,
go for the gold, not a want but a need,
stumble and fall now you bleed
get up there is a shot you can still win theres a plea

the finish only a few feet
will you win or admit your defeat
getting up theres no excuse to be beat
still running now faster than a fleet

someone behing you? Still gaining speed
pull ahead! pull ahead you yell in you head
lunging with sweat who is the best?
shock arises as the anouncer states your success
