Stem Of Life Faded Away

by Natalie   Oct 31, 2006

Vibrant colors gleaming into dull eyes,
Enhancing hope before stem of life dies,
With sugar coated water trickling down,
Nourishing roots away from it's demise.

Unwired backbone starts to slowly droop,
Away from the rest of the troubled troupe,
Left to fight and make it through all alone,
Without help from saviors in other groups.

Colored petals fade away into the dark,
There's no light within itself to re-spark,
Stem is dried out & reaching for fresh air,
Left alone for beginning its embark.

I loved it, the meaning that i got is that its a metaphor for a person who is tired, someone who tries so hard but is reaching the end of their strengths

Well a guy i knew recently killed himself and this poem really reminded me of the lost feelings of no hope that compel people to go there, i think it's well written and very provocative!
