Another Late Night

by Jochsey   Nov 3, 2006

It was another late night
Sitting out in the rain
No one understands
Why she tries to hide her pain

She sits in the middle of the lawn
Clutching the knife in her hands
Wishing she had the strength
To meet her demands

She looks into the sky
With tears streaming down her cheeks
She remembers all her scars
Which were caused over the past weeks

No one would listen
When she needed them most
They left her alone
Treating her like a ghost

The knife nears
Her already scared wrist
The only escape from the world
She tries not to resist

Over her lifeless body
The rain continues to fall
The knife still in her grasp
Now there’s no need to call
