Sarcastic Beauty

by Lady C   Nov 6, 2006

In my Beethoven medley
On the minor fall
Emptiness bleaks the paper
As the violin shoots it's call

My story isn't anything different
Nothing new about bloodstained youth
Another fall back from reality
And from mascara tears and tainted truth

Feels like I'm soaking
But no water is around me
I guess I'm crying on the inside
Yet I feel like I'm drowning

In my frightful gasps of air
I've built myself a home
Somehow I feel safe here
Somehow I don't feel so alone

But nothing in this world of illusions
Can make up for the child in the mixture
With all the pieces she is still broken
In her own Picasso picture
