Silhouette

by Roy   Nov 7, 2006

Here i am at night lying in my bed
And once more tears begin to shed
This suffering making a silhouette out of me
The once joyful person i used to be

I feel like a shadow created by your light
Only existing when your light shines near me
A silhouette lying in it\'s bed at night
Wondering if it could exist without your light and be free

Days I\'ve lingered in the hallway
My mind filled with that memory of the past
Tripping over thoughts, not knowing what to say
Becoming a fading shadow, not seeming to last

My inner self feeling like an empty space
Maybe life will grant me a second chance in another time and place
But only your light is what i desire, for it can make me feel like before
Please illuminate what\'s left of me and cast your light upon me once more

Roy.
