The circle of life

by Hope Bound Heart   Nov 8, 2006

The gates of heaven open
An angel has arrived
To feel what it is like
To have lived, and have died

The clouds open up
God pours the world a drink
Angels begin to cry
What should one think

Does this mean the world is over
Coming to its end
With no empathy left
To help the wounded mend

The weak begin to rise
As the strong fall to their knees
In heaven the weak now reside
The strong are life's refugees

One girl lays and weeps
As the life she gained was torn
Torn from her hands
As her husband lay reborn

Reborn to the heavens
Cut from her by a knife
The strong become the weak
The weak enter the circle of life
