The Runaway

by MorbidCupcake   Nov 9, 2006

Shes home one hour late
Dreading torture she hates
Never one moments peace
Her mother blames her friend
The argument starts there is no end

Again, she does something wrong
Scared, now of her mom
Walks away and slams the door
Her heart inside is badly torn
Trembling, her father bags the door open
To get hurt isnt what shes hoping
He pushes her outta the room
Flings her around like a flimsy balloon

Screaming for help and eyes submerged in tears
Shes burning up into all her biggest fears
As her father screams hurtful shrills into her ear
The girl tries to escap, too bad they dont care how she feels
She thinks its a dream, it could never be real

Her parents shout, go ahead you can leave
The girl grabs her coat and tells herself, this cant be me
Runs out the door to somewhat salvation
Maybe this is a revolution

One mile and shes finally there
If her parents find her doesnt mean they care
Within one second she can see clearl
Her parents coming to redestroy her
Her friend stands there with concerning eyes
Walking here just wasnt wise
She breaksdown even more so
Here comes her father she has to go

Crying because of fear, sadness, and relief
Her hearts spray painted black her heads filled with grief
Please dont hurt me, is all shes thinking
Cant tell whats worse yelling or silence
Now theres an imaginary wall that acts as a dividence
They play it off like nothings wrong
But she still feels like shell never belong
