Untold Secret

She walks around with a secret to tell
Smiles and waves to friends that walk by
but behind closed doors she goes through hell
She realizes every word she says is a lie

She wants to run away from all this pain
She wants to know the feeling of happiness and love
She wants to know if these thoughts are insane
She knows she needs someone to help her rise above

Her religious beliefs go down the drain
She's becoming the only thing that she can't take
Everything she feels, she can barely contain
She wonders how many people like her are fake

She's getting caught up in all of her lies
Repeating her constructed promises in the shallow mirror
She doesn't realize it's leading to her own demise
She tries to think of thoughts that are purer

She wonders if anyone else feels this way
She just wants to get this all off her chest
but she'll never know exactly what to say
Sometimes she thinks this might all just be a test

No more debating whether she's right or not
No more trying to keep everything inside
She just wishes she would get caught
