All That I'm Living For

Bitter intoxication fused
Deep and dark beneath
A veil where I will drink
For the souls of lost abuse

The moon is bitter today
While flames engulf within
the temple of crystal tears
poison and death begin

Death, I will not bow down
to a word that means so little
Though you tear at me inside
I'm worn but still not brittle

I live for the remaining hope
That I'm not the only one
Who fades within my own shadows
Afraid of the raging sun

    I am Death, you cannot hide.

    Fear me child., You will learn soon
    You are afraid of only the sun?
    You are trapped forever, child.
    And the key, I have the only one.

    Your braclets are manacles,
    Your freedom, a usless lie.
    In shadow, we walk hand in hand.
    But in my wake, things die.

    All you are living for, is doom.
    You are living without breath.
    You are alive for me, child.
    You are nothing, I am Death.

    hehe, Great eh? I just made it up. Death talking to you. Nyah nyah, very good Princess, Nice rhyming and vocab. I think i'll add you to my favorites.

    I really like this. I'm not sure why.. it's just got a nice flow and rhtyhm to it and it holds so much strength and honesty. I loved the last stanza.. very beautifully written. You did an amazing job on this poem. 5/5 Keep it up!

    I love the metaphors and how they blend to deliver the natural dark feelings we all seem to have at times

    "Who fades within my own shadows
    Afraid of the raging sun"
    these lines bring the meanig all together
