Velvet Wings

by Nora   Nov 24, 2006

Every night I watch you fly
on velvet wings across the sky
I feel your pain and wish it could be mine
no use to swim, no use to sink
I've got no use for pen and ink
I wonder if some day I will be fine

every day I watch you fly
and let the world just pass me by
'cause there's no reason for me to be there
where people live, where people feel
where people question what is real
with tons of love and hatred everywhere

every time I watch you die
you learned to love, to hurt and cry
I long to feel the heaven that you see
although your life is hell to you
to me it's what I need to do
the difference between will and what will be
