Sweet let down

Every time we here the words we fall to our knees
our whole body gets weak
its so nice but yet we still wish to leave
and escape the fate that we face
wanting to avoid the disgrace
that comes along with seeing their face

this is the sweet let down
the words make all fall to the ground
one of the most beautiful sounds causes so much pain
turns the lightest of faces dark
tears even the strongest hearts apart
leaves them to no hope of a new start

you watch the change take place in their face
as they look at you with so much hate
you cant stand it cause you tried so hard to make it easy
but they did not take it as you meant to say
words confused your actions abused
try to make the pain light but instead of taking flight
fall out of sight
