The day we met I loved you then
It seems that's how it's always been.
But a love like ours just couldn't last
I guess it grew and died too fast.
I love you now, but you're not here.
You're all I need I want you near.
The feelings left just overnight,
But I still want you wrong or right.

When you first told me it was through,
I thought I'd die not having you.
But as the days went passing by
I learned to live though still I cry.
It looks like now you're gone for good,
I'd take you back now if I could.
You'd only break my heart again
And try to tell me we're still friends.
A friend is something you can't be
You'll always mean much more to me.
