Longing For Unspoken Words

by Mommy And Me   Dec 1, 2006

Longing for Unspoken Words

Look at me; don’t you see these sapphire tears?
The splatter on the wall is from my torn heart
your drunken aim has struck me with the dart.
Once again I ask myself, what has the years
brought upon you? Now look at all my fears;
The Unspoken words could help us restart
But This bottle, has taken us, ripped us apart
Now beside my bed, you are in my prayers

Listen to me; don’t you hear my trembling voice
Can you not see my running mascara?
Within my hands, are the unspoken words
I am your daughter, remember, I’m Terra?
Dad, you are my only chance, my only choice
and you hold my justice for unspoken words…

    Terra darling, what a poem! It has such a sad overtone and the rhyme scheme was different and anyother ones would've made the poem... odd. A very well written poem hun!!
