Judge don't Favor

by grim   Dec 11, 2006

You look on this page
And because you don't know me
You read my little poem
And fail to see what I feel
Just because we're not friends
You'll think about a vote
And if that day I'm lucky
A result with a 7 is what you'll hold
I remember not too long ago
It didn't matter who you were
Only your poems told a story
and we didn't care what occur
Only our lyrics made the show
Even our hearts came along
But we never needed a bond
To judge a poem or song
Sure we had the fancy words
That affected the way we write
Like vast, hosiery or franchise
Effigy, Diligent, diptych or blight
The smaller words were also cherished
They bring great meaning to life
Like love, danger, bliss, or hate
Family, loved-one, husband or wife
Judge don't favor
And give your heart a chance
To rise above this bond
And what friendship demands.
