This Year

by Dacey Flame   Dec 17, 2006

September comes, September leaves.
A new year filled with twists and weaves.

A new beginning, people've changed.
Your own best friends have rearranged.

Your notice a girl you've never seen.
You go say hi, come off as serene.

But wait, theres just something about her..
And you know her name, of that your sure.

You've heard that laugh, seen that smile,
It's coming back, its been a while.

Is she the girl that wasn't much?
Always shy, and hiding and such?

You can't comprehend, it's way beyond reason,
How could a girl change that much in one season?

Before you stands such a pretty girl,
A flawless face a hair a bit curled.

Her life's taken a complete turn around,
she says to your look of naive astound.

You say sorry, and wipe off your surprise,
Say goodbye and then leave, gone to tell all the guys.

    I liked this.
I thought the rhyme scheme and wording worked really well here.
I dunno who's voted it down, ecause it deserves to be higher than it is.
