Fatherless Christmas

by BeautifulxMess   Dec 18, 2006

It seems like it was only yesterday
when you were here every morning.
Video tapped me unwrapping gifts
that Santa left underneath the tree.

Looking back it was all just a blur;
a memory in the back of my head.
It seemed like you weren't happy
or aroused by my childish smile.

Christmas isn't like it use to be
or how it was way back long ago.
Everybody split apart and went away
or just disappeared out of sight.

Left without a father to share
the joy of Christmas morning.
You forsaken the meaning of
what this holiday is all about.

Dad please understand this
you're not the only bewildered one.
Christmas can't be like it was
because you've casted it aside.

    This was really sad..
I can relate to this one.
I think you did a great job on this, the words were filled with so much emotion and the imagery, again, was fantastic.

Very sad poem. I can feel your pain in every word you have written. It is so sad how one person not in our lives can hurt so bad. Excellent job
