Don't make my mistakes

I thought you were my saviour,
my angle without wings
i brought you into my world
i made you my everything

you left without a word
i never got a chance
you just walked on by
didn't get a second glance

you left without a clue
as too what really went on
you left me broken and shattred
wondered what could have gone wrong

my baby had to die
i couldn't do it on my own
she didn't have a father
and soon wouldn't have a home

i swallowed all the pills
stuck the needle in my arm
felt my baby die inside
and then turned to self-harm

a month later you're back
asking for my hand
it's too late now i lost my baby
what if it happens again?

you promise me no more
forever till the end
i give in i give you my heart
please don't break it again

this time there was no baby
i couldn't understand why
and when the doctor told me
i just wanted to die

then just as things couldn't worsen
i thought you had done all there was to do
you just up and left
i didn't even have you

the moral of this story
as everyone can see
a child could be your only one,
just don't turn out like me
