What Were You Thinking?

by Sandra D   Dec 21, 2006

What were you thinking when you did what you did?
What was going through your mind?
Did you think about the ones that you just left behind?
Did it ever occur to you that we cared about you?
Did you seriously think it wouldn't hurt us?
Why did you leave without a single goodbye?
What was this supposed to solve?
Were you thinking it wouldn't hurt us if you were the one jumping?
Are we just supposed to forget about you?
Why did you do this to us?
What the hell were you thinking when you jumped off that bridge?

This is an excellent poem. And very difficult subject to write about. There is nothing worse than knowing someone you cared about did a deed like that. You cant understand how they can be so selfish. You got the emotions across in your words, spot on.
