Attempting Love

by alone in the crowd   Dec 23, 2006

Candle light emits sparks of passion that illuminate her skin
The smooth blueprint to her wants and desires
His fingers graze her arms, generating a tremor within her soul
His touch gently reading the Braille imprinted in her skin
Deep brown pools of passion swallow her as he gazes upon her heart
He watches a film of heartbreak and emotional disaster
Her eyes depicting years of hurt and constant pain
He whispers in her ears, telling her stories of truth and love
His warm breath begs her tears to evaporate
His caress pleads with her soul to trust him, to let go of the past
The candle flickers and slowly begins to fade
Darkness has always scared her and it always brings memories with it
Her breath quickens and then calms down as he holds her close
Silently she surrenders to his love and hopefully excepts his trust
Faithfully placing her heart in his hands, she submits to a chance at love

I loved the last line, "faithfully placing her heart in his hands, she submits to a chance of love". That's exactly what love it. Having faith. You gotta have faith.
