All these secrets behind her eyes

by justhere   Dec 25, 2006

If these walls could talk
You would know
Of every uneasy sensation that courses through
Her veins
Of every jealous nerve that exceeds jealousy and crosses the boundary
If these walls could talk
They would show you how far off that boundary you went
Tripping over the thick dark line
And stumbling into the pond where her tears spill into
If these walls could talk
They would tell you of the times
Of every though that passes through her head,
Of every thought about you.
And of all the simple things that made her smile
Of how everything you do makes her smile
If these walls could talk
They would whisper
About every urge she keeps
Just under her skin
To jump up and scream into your face
I love you, your killing me
What it means just to feel your warm arms around her suffocation herself into your sweatshirt
Where she finally feels¦safe
If walls could talk
They would snicker about the truth
As you carelessly listen to what she says
And not to what her eyes are screaming
Where every last empty emotion is drained from her almost perfect smile as she stares into what she hates,
You and her best friend
Waiting for the worst
For what would clear the slate
If these walls could talk
Oh god if these walls could talk
