My Heart Grieves

by debbylyn   Dec 26, 2006

The rivers of my mind are sparkling blue
They flow on and on to the sea
The air smells clean and almost new
It's the world I'd like to be
Everyone loves everyone
For the people that they are
The sky is bright in the summer sun
The song of birds not far
The soil is rich and wild flowers grow
Thick on the forest floor
Tall trees climb high to the sunlit sky
Who could ask for more?
I live there in my dreams sometimes
It's a place I hate to leave
Then I open my eyes to our blackened skies
And my sad heart has to grieve

Its sometimes a hard life and the night falls in around you... and the skies go blackened blue.......sad hearts beats full of tears.....
then a light will come and take away all the fear......and hold you up, when it is all to much to bear....

I think this poem should have been in the nature section. Other than that, It's a very beautiful and nicely done poem. God Bless 5/5
