Mask Over Tears

by pozinthenoise   Dec 27, 2006

It's time to go to school, I need to wear my mask
I'll choose the happy one so nobody could ask
How am I feeling or if I am ok
I'll be HAPPY, that's who I am today...

Yesteday, I was naughty, tomorrow I'll be silly
When I want to, I could be a happy-go-lucky
Yea, I am everybody!
I've got every mask to show them I ain't lonely

When my classmates talk to me, I would listen
I would give advice when they confess problems
I would be their crying shoulder cause I am a fighter
And then, I'll help them to be stronger than ever

I would use my practiced smile, those w/c I always project
I would be another performer, my true self I would protect
I have different faces to be shown to everybody
And each one of these, all would be able to see...

But when night comes, where would I be?
When I take-off my mask, who would know me?
Who could see the tears that flow eagerly
From a pretender's eyes who could no longer lie to me

Before I'll bid goodnight, I would simply lay a tear
For all the miseries nobody could hear
Cause tomorrow, when I woke up, I'll put my mask again
And then hope that somebody could come, and put my pretentions to a happy end!

Everybody has a mask of his/her own but it's better to take it off permanently....excellent!
