Reflection

by Thorn Lovely Dead And Lonely   Jan 3, 2007

I'm looking in the mirror
Looking hard I almost see her
As I look at my reflection
My soft, pale, young complexion

Silver hanging from my ears
My eyes hiding all my fears
Sunglasses pulling back my hair
Seeing this I almost stare

Baggy shirt to hide my form
My mind's picking up a storm
Pants clinging to my legs
Purple hair is on my head

And as I look at this my twin
Of what my mother could have been
Silent promises I make
With my mom I won't partake

In a minute it is gone
But the memories live on
Human cruelty is what I see
But this cruelty is not in me
